PHILADELPHIA — On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies, who were already crowned National League East champions, secured a first-round bye in the 2024 MLB Postseason after defeating the Chicago Cubs by a score of 9-6, and the Milwaukee Brewers losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates shortly after.
As a result of clinching the first-round bye, Philadelphia will get five days off between the end of the regular season and the start of the NLDS.
Philadelphia will play their first postseason game at Citizens Bank Park on Oct. 5 in the division series. If Philadelphia continues to advance, the National League Championship Series will start on Oct. 13, and the World Series will begin on Oct. 25.

According to the team's website, the Phillies will conduct random drawing(s) from among all the eligible fans who successfully complete the registration form at this link.
The team says that due to the limited number of tickets available, only eligible fans whose registration is selected in the random drawing(s) will have the opportunity to purchase tickets through this method.
Fans are not guaranteed the opportunity to buy tickets by completing the registration.
