PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday night in deflating fashion, 32-9. What just weeks ago looked like a promising season abruptly ended in embarrassment, leaving the defending NFC Champions scratching their heads.
Many questions posed to the Birds in the coming weeks will center around who will stay and who will go as the offseason begins.
Jason Kelce has repordedly already made known his decision to retire, leaving fans to direct their attention to the remaining stalwarts on the team.
The longest tenured Eagle, Brandon Graham, stated that he does not plan on going anywhere.
As the smoke cleared from a dejected locker room, the beloved defensive end told reporters that he will return next year, if the Eagles will have him.
"It will be my farewell tour," Graham said. "I'd love to be here for another year, because I know we got something special."
Graham would go on to tell Sports radio 94.1 WIP this morning, that he "still has juice" and that he has even contemplated moving into another organizational role with the franchise.
BG has been in Philly through thick and thin in his 14 seasons, playing his part in the pinnacle of the franchise's achievements with his strip sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52.
He has also seen the bottom fall out multiple times. Yet, it can never be disputed that Graham has had the utmost faith in the men around him and in himself no matter the situation.
Having his positive energy in any capacity would surely be a welcome situation for both the Eagles franchise and its fans.
Maybe next year, Graham's "farewell tour" can end with his second ring as a player.
