KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The 2024 NFL regular season officially kicks off Thursday night, when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.

The rematch of last year's AFC Championship Game kicks off at 8:20 p.m.

Here's what you need to know about the game.

How do I watch?

The game will be televised on NBC, with live coverage beginning at 7 p.m. with a special Football Night in America Kickoff Show.

You can also stream the game on Peacock.

An audio stream of the game is also available on Sirius XM.

About the Ravens

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens had the league's top-ranked offense and scoring defense last season, finishing with a 13-4 record and and the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.

Baltimore knocked off Houston 34-10 in the AFC Divisional Round, but dropped a 17-10 decision to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

Jackson was voted the league's MVP for the second time in his career after passing for 3,678 yards, leading all NFL quarterbacks with 821 rushing yards, and accounting for 24 touchdowns, including five on the ground.

But the Ravens have yet to win more than one playoff game in a single postseason with Jackson at the helm.

Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews return to the Baltimore offense, joined by newly acquired running back Derrick Henry, whom the Ravens acquired from Tennessee in free agency.

About the Chiefs

Kansas City opens the season at home for the second year in a row after winning its second straight Super Bowl last year. The Chiefs are trying to become the first team in league history to win three straight Super Bowl titles.

KC has made the Big Game four times in the last five years, winning titles in three of its four appearances.

Led by QB Patrick Mahomes, who last year became the fastest player ever to reach 25,000 career passing yards, the Chiefs are once again expected to field one of the league's most-dangerous offenses again this year.

Mahomes has a total of 73 wins, 28,140 passing yards, and 219 passing touchdowns -- which is more than any other QB in the league since 2018.
