Study finds Eagles have the NFL's 'angriest' fanbase; Steelers fans rank 4th

The study, conducted by Sportsbook Review, is based off AI facial recognition of more than 20,000 selfies taken in all 32 NFL stadiums.

YORK, Pa. — A study of more than 20,000 selfies taken across 32 National Football League stadiums last season determined that fans of Pennsylvania's two NFL franchises rank among the league's angriest.

The Sportsbook Review study analyzed the selfies using A.I. facial recognition technology to determine the emotions on display.

The study found that the Eagles have the league's angriest fans. (Big surprise, right?) According to Sportsbook Review, 4.2% of all selfies taken by fans in Lincoln Financial Field express anger.

Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers check in at No. 4 among the NFL's angriest, according to Sportsbook Review.

The top five is rounded out by fans of the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 2), the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 3), and the Chicago Bears (No. 5).

So which teams have the league's happiest fans? Surprisingly, it's the Washington Commanders, according to Sportsbook Review. The study determined that despite the Commanders' dismal 4-13 record last season, 61% of all selfies taken at FedEx Field express some form of happiness.

The rest of the top five consists of the Green Bay Packers, the Tennessee Titans, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New Orleans Saints. All four of those teams had winning records last year.

Other notable findings in the Sportsbook Review study:

Even though their team has won the Super Bowl in three of the last five seasons (including the last two in a row), fans of the Kansas City Chiefs rank among the NFL's saddest, at No. 2. Only Atlanta Falcons fans are sadder, according to the study.

Dallas Cowboys fans rank No. 5 among the NFL's saddest fans, and also rank No. 1 among the league's "most surprised" and "most scared," the study found.

Chicago Bears fans also rank No. 1 among the NFL's most disgusted fans, which could change this season if their draft picks work out.

Fans of the Houston Texans are the league's calmest fans, according to the study.
