Does the Super Bowl logo actually reveal which teams will make it?

Some NFL fans think they already know which teams will make it to the Super Bowl LVIII. The hint may be in the official Super Bowl logo.

LAS VEGAS — The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Sunday. Later in the day, the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship game.

But some NFL fans think they already know which teams will make it to the Super Bowl LVIII. The hint may be in the official Super Bowl logo. The logos are designed often to reflect the city hosting the matchup and are released ahead of each season. The logos are different each year and in the past few years have featured two dominant colors.

This year's logo shows the Las Vegas Strip with purple at the bottom, fading to red at the top. Based on that, fans think the Super Bowl will be between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers... but it goes deeper than that. People are speculating the 49ers will defeat the Detroit Lions, make it to the Super Bowl and go on to win the whole thing.

This theory is tied to the Super Bowl Logos from the past two years. In Super Bowl LVII, the Cincinnati Bengals took on the Los Angeles Rams in Sofi Stadium. The logo is red and yellow with palm trees in reference to Hollywood. The dominant colors on the Super Bowl 56 logo? You guessed it, orange and yellow. Even more interesting, the yellow color thought to represent the Rams, who went on to win the title, is featured less on the logo, but more on that in the next line.

A similar thing happened in Super Bowl LVI, which featured the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs playing in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The logo for the Super Bowl 57 featured a desert landscape with green and red, as well as the color of the two respective teams who made it all the way. Remember the theory tied to the amount of each team's color on the logo? Well, the Kansas City Chief won the Super Bowl that year and the red was the smaller color on the logo.

This all led fans to predict a 49ers Super Bowl win in 2024.

Is this a self-fulfilling prophecy, a coincidence, some sort of elaborate manipulation by the NFL that goes up to the highest level of corporate, or just some far-fetched interest conspiracy theory? Regardless if any of the theories are true, isn't it just fun to guess?
