UNCASVILLE, Conn. - Rachel Banham, the former Gopher for the University of Minnesota, was selected No. 4 overall by Connecticut in WNBA draft Thursday evening.
Former UConn players Breanna Stewart, Moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck were drafted in the top 3 spots, respectively, marking the first time in WNBA history that the top three picks were from the same school.
Banham had an All America 2015-16 season for the Gophers.
She finished second in the nation in scoring and won the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year.
During her career she scored 3,093 points.
