STRASBURG, Pa. — Weather permitting, crews will begin working on a bridge replacement project on Route 741, also known as Strasburg Road, in Paradise Township, Lancaster County on Monday.
The bridge is located between between Eshleman Run and Keneagy Hill Road.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the project will cause a 69-day detour.
The detour uses Belmont Road and Route 896. There will be also be a temporary traffic signal in place to help with traffic movement.
PennDOT said this project is one of three bridge replacements in Lancaster County. Work on Maple Shade Road Bridge in Colerain Township will take place in the spring, and a replacement for the Walnut Run Road Bridge in Strasburg Township will start this summer.
The total cost of the bridge replacement project will be $2,020,305, according to PennDOT.
