LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — A tractor trailer hauling a soy-based product overturned in Lebanon County early this morning, causing a road closure.

The crash occurred at 2:55 a.m. on July 24 in the 1800 block of South Forge Road (Route 117) at the roundabout in South Londonderry Township, according to Lebanon County 911 Dispatch. Police say the tractor trailer failed to negotiate a left curve on the roundabout, causing the truck to overturn.

The truck was hauling several 250-pound drums of liquid soy lecithin, some of which spilled out of the trailer.

South Forge Road was shut down at Airport Road, Northside Drive and Hinkle Road for approximately 10 hours while crews worked to clean up the crash and remove the tractor trailer.

The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, the South Londonderry Township Police Department said.

A second crash with minor injuries was reported around 7 a.m. a short distance away in the 200 block of Hinkle Road, which was closed in the area.
