Police, emergency officials respond to two crashes in same area of York County

The area from Imperial Drive over to Days Mill Road is expected to be closed for an indefinite amount of time, according to police.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — York County police and emergency crews are at the scene of two separate car crashes that has left a road closed.

According to the York County Regional Police Department, fire and police personnel are currently at the scene of a crash that occurred on Indian Rock Dam Road between Imperial Drive and Monument Road in York Township sometime before 2:40 p.m. on June 11. 

The crash involved one car that crashed into a pole. As a result, wires are down in the area. 

A second crash occurred in the same area on Imperial Drive at Indian Rock Dam Road involving another car and a rescue unit. 

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the crashes.

The area is expected to be closed from Imperial Drive over to Days Mill Road for an indefinite amount of time. 

Drivers are being encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
