Emergency repairs scheduled on NB Interstate 81 near Carlisle, delays possible

CARLISLE, Pa. — Travelers in Cumberland County may face some traffic on Wednesday, March 20.

PennDOT announced that due to deteriorating pavement conditions, emergency repairs will be made on northbound I-81 near Carlisle in Cumberland County. The work will be along mile marker 50, approximately one mile north of Route 641. 

Weather permitting, the repairs will begin at 9 a.m. and are expected to continue into the late evening. 

A right lane restriction will be in place as the work is performed. PennDOT is warning drivers that there may be delays. 

Drivers should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone. Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com
