Geese escorted off Virginia interstate

VDOT workers were able to get the geese off the highway by 9 a.m.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Heard some honks on I-395 in Virginia Tuesday morning? It might not have been car horns. A gaggle of geese were spotted in the northbound express lanes just inside the Beltway.

Virginia Department of Transportation workers used trucks to keep the geese safe while escorting them off the interstate. The whole ordeal was caught on VDOT traffic cameras. No geese were hurt in the process, but traffic was slowed down a bit. The geese were safely off the road by 9 a.m., exiting the interstate at Edsall Road.

Faith in humanity restored.
