I-81 reopens after tractor trailer crash in Lebanon County

All lanes of I-81 southbound were closed for several hours between Lebanon and Dauphin counties early this morning for a tractor trailer crash, according to PennDOT.

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — All lanes of Interstate 81 southbound between Lebanon and Dauphin counties have reopened after a tractor trailer crash with a diesel fuel spill, according to PennDOT.

Lebanon County 911 Dispatch says the crash occurred about one mile south of Exit 85 in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County when one tractor trailer rear-ended another around 3:35 a.m. on April 3. 

The crash closed all southbound lanes between Exit 85: PA 934 - Annville/Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County and Exit 80: PA 743 - Grantville/Hershey in Dauphin County until just before 7 a.m., according to PennDOT. 

No one was injured or entrapped as a result of the crash, according to Lebanon County 911 Dispatch.
