Lane restrictions planned for Route 222 bridges over Conestoga River

PennDOT says there will be lane restrictions on the northbound and southbound Route 222 bridges over the Conestoga River next week so that they can be inspected.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — There are lane restrictions planned on Lancaster County bridges next week, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. 

The restrictions will be on the northbound and southbound Route 222 bridges over the Conestoga River just south of the City of Lancaster in Lancaster County, PennDOT said. The lane closures will allow the bridges to be inspected. 

Weather permitting, this work will be performed Tuesday, Sept. 10, to Friday, Sept. 13. 

The northbound Route 222 right lane and shoulder will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Wednesday, Sept. 11. The northbound Route 222 left lane and shoulder will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. The southbound Route 222 right lane and shoulder will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. 

PennDOT reminds motorists to be alert and drive with caution through the work zone. Travelers can check 511PA for the most up-to-date road conditions.
