Portion of Route 30 reopens after weekend storms

According to PennDOT, storms caused telephone poles near Mt. Zion Road in York County to snap and power lines to fall onto the road.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Route 30 has reopened in both directions between North Hills Road and Mount Zion Road in York County. 

According to a spokesperson with PennDOT, telephone poles snapped due to the storms in the area over the weekend. 

Workers from Met-Ed got the poles back up around 10 p.m. There were rolling roadblocks to stretch lines across the highway overnight.
