HARRISBURG, Pa. — Motorists traveling on Route 283 in Dauphin County should allow for extra time next week as workers are scheduled to inspect the bridge carrying the highway over Interstate 283 at Exit 1A/1B in Lower Swatara Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Friday.
Weather permitting, the inspection will be done on Monday and Tuesday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., PennDOT said. There will be alternating left- and right-lane restrictions in both directions of the highway while the inspection is underway, according to PennDOT.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone, PennDOT said.
