Traffic on Route 283 East near the Rheems exit in Lancaster County is backed up due to a crash.

RHEEMS, Pa. — Route 283 East in Lancaster County has reopened after being shut down by a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment, according to emergency dispatch and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported at 8:42 a.m. between the Rheems/Elizabethtown and Manheim/Mount Joy exits, dispatch said.

It reportedly involves multiple vehicles and entrapment. All lanes were reported closed at about 9 a.m. and reopened shortly before 10 a.m.

Additional details were not immediately available.
