LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update, 10:20 a.m.: Route 30 is once again open to traffic after a crash closed a section of the highway in Lancaster County this morning, PennDOT said.

Previously: A section of Route 30 is closed in Lancaster County, PennDOT officials announced this morning.

The closure is due to a tractor trailer crash in a construction zone at the underpass for Centerville Road, a PennDOT spokesperson said. The crash occurred around 6:35 a.m. on Jan. 23 in the westbound lanes of travel when the truck hit an attenuator, which is a device intended to reduce the damage of a crash.

All lanes of Route 30 are closed while crews are at the scene. Traffic is being rerouted at the Centerville exit.

PennDOT says no injuries were reported, but all of the tractor trailer's wheels on one side of the trailer were ripped off. Officials are unsure what the truck is carrying.

The East Hempfield Police Department is investigating the crash.
