MARYLAND, USA — A 48-year-old man has been pronounced dead after a crash in Maryland on Saturday, according to a press release.
The York County Coroner's office responded to a call to Wellspan York Hospital Saturday evening where the man, identified as Vann Ashe II, from Herndon, VA died to his injuries following a motorcycle crash on Interstate 83 in Maryland.
According to Maryland State Police, Ashe was riding among a group of motorcyclists on southbound I-83 near Exit 36. The group entered a construction zone and, during his attempt to switch lanes on the uneven road, he crashed and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Another motorcyclist crashed in his attempt to avoid hitting Ashe; the state of this second victim is unknown.
Ashe was transported to Wellspan York Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 7:20 p.m. by the York County Coroner.
