Amtrak cancels upcoming trains between Harrisburg and Philadelphia ahead of forecasted winter weather

In preparation for forecasted snow, Amtrak announced multiple trains have been canceled or modified on Jan. 6-7.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Some Amtrak trains won't be running between Harrisburg and Philadelphia this weekend in anticipation of winter weather.

In preparation for the upcoming snow, Amtrak announced the following trains have been canceled on Saturday, Jan. 6: 

  • Trains 670, 672 and 674 are canceled between Harrisburg to Philadelphia. They will operate between Philadelphia and New York.
  • Trains 667, 669, & 671 are canceled between Philadelphia to Harrisburg. They will operate between New York and Philadelphia.
  • Train 151 between Washington and Roanoke is canceled. They will operate between New York and Washington.
  • Train 66 between Roanoke and Washington is canceled. They will operate between Washington and Boston.
  • Train 168 between New York and Boston is canceled. They will operate between Washington and New York.

The following trains have also been canceled for Sunday, Jan. 7: 

  • Train 195 between Boston and Philadelphia is canceled. They will operate between Philadelphia and Richmond.
  • Acela Train 2271 between Boston and New York is canceled. They will operate between New York (NYP) and Washington (WAS).
  • Acela Train 2290 is canceled in its entirety.

The train service is advising all passengers to stay tuned for updates via Amtrak's app, by email or by checking Amtrak.com for train statuses.
