HERSHEY, Pa. — A Dauphin County outdoor outfitter is ready to prepare you for your next outdoor adventure.
Adventure Explorations in Hershey helps organize, plan and prepare a way to experience Pennsylvania’s outdoors to the fullest, no matter how much experience you have.
"There’s so many great local trails and resources for people to take advantage of, and you don't have to go very far to really find something," said Cody Meassick, the co-founder and lead guide for Adventure Explorations. "We're trying to get people outdoors, let them have that experience that they want without having to go very far and not need any of the equipment. We're going to take care of all of that."
The Hershey-based business offers a wide variety of activities from kayaking and fishing to hiking and rock climbing. All of their experiences are private and can accommodate any sized group.
"Whatever our client wants, we create an experience that's going to fit them, and whether that's a single day out with one person or a group of 50 or 700 people, we just try to give them the best experience possible," said Meassick. "All of our activities we do are really inclusive. So whether it's with a family member, or you're looking for something kind of more difficult, or you've got young kids, we can really diversify what we're offering to meet whatever you want."
It’s all part of their effort to help you discover yourself and the outdoors.
"Our goal at the end of the day is that people just engage in that self-discovery and learn something about themselves, learn something about someone else, or just kind of how the world works, and hopefully they find growth out of that," said Meassick.
An effort that is more than worth all the planning and hard work
"It makes it all worth it that at the end of the day, like once you see that, that knowledge and the learning that comes from there, whether that's a kid or an adult or family or corporation, you just really get the passion to do it again," said Meassick.
