Harrisburg International Airport adds flights for Penn State vs. Minnesota matchup

Delta Air Lines has added nonstop flights between Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport and Harrisburg International Airport on Nov. 22 and 24.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State football fans looking to travel to support their team when it plays in Minnesota now have more flight options.

Delta Air Lines has added nonstop flights between Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (FAA code: MSP) and Harrisburg International Airport (FAA Code:  MDT) on Friday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 24.

The Nittany Lions will play the Golden Gophers on Saturday, Nov. 23.

“It is well known that Penn State fans travel very well to support their sports teams—especially football,” said Scott Miller, HIA spokesman. “The combination of Minneapolis being a large Delta hub, nearly 70,000 Penn State alumni living within an hour drive of Harrisburg International Airport, and this will be Penn State’s first game at Minnesota since 2019, this looks like a good opportunity.  If it does well, we hope to earn more opportunities like this in years to come.”

Flight 4123 will depart MDT at 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 22 and arrive at MSP at 4:15 p.m. On Nov. 24, Flight 4123 will depart MSP at 10:30 a.m. and arrive at MDT at 2 p.m.

Delta also offers multiple daily connections to Minneapolis and destinations worldwide via daily flights to Detroit and Atlanta, Harrisburg International Airport said. For fare information, and to purchase tickets, visit www.Delta.com.
