HARRISBURG, Pa. — Drought restrictions placed across numerous Pennsylvania counties last summer and fall have been lifted.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) the final drought watch/warning has been lifted for the last remaining counties.
Adams, Cameron, Clinton, Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton, Westmoreland and York Counties have returned to normal status, according to the DEP. Pennsylvania has received enough rain over the past six months to return many of the drought indicators to normal and reduce long-term precipitation deficits.
Additionally, Public Water Suppliers have begun to lift the restrictions they put in place last summer and fall as they see their sources of supply recover.
