FLORIDA, USA — Shortly before Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida, a lineman from Connecticut captured video while driving through a storm in the state.
A viewer said his son, a lineman from IBEW Local 42, was driving from Fort Myers, Fla. to Tampa, Fla. with a crew around 7 p.m. when they encountered severe winds.
The video shows a truck roll over onto its side on a roadway, bringing cars to a halt, with debris flying in the air.
One of the crew members in the video can also be heard pointing out "another truck on the ground."
The condition of those inside the impacted vehicles is currently unknown.
Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida near Siesta Key by 8:30 p.m., according to the Miami-based National Hurricane Center. The storm has left more than a million people without power, with high winds of over 100 mph and tornadoes around the state.
