YORK, Pa. — Due to forecasted extreme heat, trash collection in York City will begin an hour earlier.
Starting Friday, June 14 through Friday, June 21, trash collectors with Republic Service will begin their day of collections one hour early, at 5 a.m., to avoid an extra hour in the heat.
Customers must place items out after 5 p.m. the night before collection and by 5 a.m. the day of collection.
