PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Editor's note: The above video is from Oct. 27.
A FOX43 Weather Impact Alert has been upgraded to now include a Red Flag Warning that covers the area from noon until 7 PM Friday.
Per the National Weather Service, a Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are imminent due to wind gusts between 20 and 25+ mph, low relative humidity, and dry brush/fuel after lack of rain. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain.
Due to these critical fire weather conditions, outdoor burning is not recommended. Look to local officials for burn bans and restrictions in place. Here is a list of burn bans currently in effect in central Pennsylvania.
