YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert on Thursday for blustery winds and brutal wind chills. The National Weather Service has already issued a WIND ADVISORY for the entire area from 1 A.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday.

A clipper system passes to the north, bringing blustery conditions later Wednesday night through Thursday morning as some snow showers, possibly mixing with a few rain showers, pass through the state. The primary impacts are strong wind gusts between 35 to 45 miles per hour. This makes wind chills feel like the teens and single digits, especially Thursday afternoon as colder air slides in and dips temperatures near to below freezing. Although there could be a few slick spots from any heftier snow showers, any accumulations are little to nothing, and mostly spotty on grassy areas. A couple snow squalls can’t be entirely ruled out in the wake of the system, producing brief whiteout conditions and slick roads.

Secure any loose, outdoor objects by the end of the day on Wednesday. The strongest wind gusts could take down holiday decorations or break smaller tree limbs. Be sure to dress warmly for the frigid feels-like numbers.
