PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The FOX43 Weather Impact Team declared a Weather Impact Alert Day on Wednesday. The primary impact is high heat and possible strong storms in the afternoon.
A HEAT ADVISORY remains for most of the area through Wednesday at 8 p.m. as feels-like numbers climb near 100 degrees through the middle of the week.
Stay hydrated and find ways to keep cool to avoid heat-related illnesses.
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are more scattered Wednesday, and strong to severe storms are possible again. Most of the area is in a Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe storms, but the threat is a lower 1 out of 5 west and northwest of Harrisburg. Damaging winds are the main threat, but isolated flooding from torrential downpours and small hail are also possible.
