    SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Motorcycle riders gathered this weekend for a ride to benefit wounded veterans. It’s the 15th annual Texas Roadhouse Bike Run event. It started at the chain restaurant’s location near the York Galleria Mall in Springettsbury Township, and traveled to their Hanover restaurant.   • 5th Annual York Equality Fest kicks off week-long celebration

    YORK, Pa. —   The 5th Annual York Equality Fest in downtown York kicked off this weekend for a week-long festival. Sunday’s event included interfaith ceremonies, a unity rally, Cabaret show and musical acts. Event organizers say the  festival has multiple goals: supporting marriage equality, overall equality and to get the ball rolling on changing state legislation.   • Teen arrested for Attempted Homicide in Dauphin County

    SWATARA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.– A Dauphin County teenager is in police custody following an attempted homicide. Swatara Township police say it happened around 3:12 p.m. Saturday along the 100 block of Worcester Avenue. Officers say 17-year-old Brandon Duffey fired a gun at another person during an altercation.  Swatara Township officers and detectives located and arrested Duffey a short time later, and recovered the firearm they believe was used in the incident.   • Motorcycle ride helps boy who lost family in crash

    YORK TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A York County community joins together to support a five-year-old boy who lost his family in a car crash earlier this year. Gabriel Rayhart is the only survivor of a crash that happened back in March in Dillsburg, York County.  Gabriel’s father, mother and three-year-old sister were killed in the crash.   • Lancaster District Attorney to seek death penalty against Raymond Rowe

    LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office says it will seek the death penalty against Raymond Rowe. Rowe, better known as DJ Freez was arrested in June in connection the 1992 murder of Christy Mirack. The charges come nearly 25 years after mirack was raped and murdered in her East Lampeter Township home. Court documents say the use of genetic genealogy helped authorities identify Rowe as the ‘strong suspect’.  Rowe is currently behind bars in Lancaster County […]

  • Road in West Manchester Township, York County still underwater

    WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, Pa.–  In York County water levels are still high in a few areas. One of those, Rout 616 in West Manchester Township. The road between York Salem Road and Route 30 looks more like a boat ramp then a road. It was heavily flooded during last week’s storms, but appears slowly lowering. Some people around the area believe it could take another week before we see the road again.

    ANNVILLE TOWNSHIP, LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — In Lebanon County, one municipality got a jump-start on collecting information regarding homes damaged in last week’s flooding. Volunteers for Annville Township set up in the Town Hall building Saturday and Sunday meeting with residents.
