  • Trio accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of shoes in Susquehanna Twp.

    On Sunday April 9, officers from Cumberland Twp. Police Department were dispatched to Suzi Sudz Car Wash for an indecent exposure incident.     CARLISLE, Pa. — While investigating a theft case, Carlisle Police determined that a juvenile male and female were missing from their parents’ homes. According to police, Julia Hiester and Hunter Shane are believed to be together and may be attempting to leave Pennsylvania and go to Texas. Police were dispatched to the Member’s 1st Credit Union at 2420 Mount Rose Ave. Police say that a middle aged black male, wearing a sweatshirt and dark colored pants, entered the credit union and demanded money.   • Cumberland County Court warns citizens of phone scam

    CARLISLE, Pa. —  Several concerned citizens have notified the Cumberland County Court that they have received a phone call stating there is a warrant out for their arrest for failing to appear for jury duty. The phone call is said to be from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s department. Cumberland County Courts wants people to know they are not issuing warrants in this manner without an initial court hearing, they also do not ask for money over the phone.     […]
