Matt is an anchor with the FOX43 Morning News team.

Prior to joining the Morning News team in July 2017, Matt was FOX43’s Harrisburg bureau reporter since April 2015, where he covered the capital city beat as well as state government stories at the State Capitol.

Central Pennsylvania is home for Matt, and can’t think of a better place for he and his wife to raise their son. Matt also says he loves being back where his television career started. Matt graduated Susquehanna Township High School, where classmates found him doing the morning news and sportscasts for in-house TV station WHIP-TV.

Matt didn’t take the traditional route to the FOX43 anchor desk. In fact, his background is in sports. Prior to joining FOX43, Matt spent more than seven years at WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA as a sports reporter and sports director. While there, he reported on the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal at Penn State and the Pirates return to the postseason in 2013, among other stories. Matt is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Even though Central PA is home, Matt was born in Pittsburgh and has carried the love of their pro teams with him his entire life. Whether it’s the Pirates, Penguins, or Steelers, Matt says his parents taught him to bleed Black and Gold.
