The two Australian D-J’s, who are blamed for the suicide of a nurse at Kate Middleton’s hospital, say they’re devastated. Both say it was just a prank when they called the hospital, pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles. The nurse, Jacintha Saldanha, dispatched them to a nurse who shared details about the Duchess’s condition. Saldanha later committed suicide.
“There’s not a minute that goes by that we don’t think about the family and what they must be going through. And the thought that we may have played a part in that is gut wrenching,” Mel Grieg said to an Australian TV station during the D-J’s first interview.
The D-J’s show has been terminated. Meanwhile, an autopsy for Saladanha is scheduled for this week.
