MLK America’s Sunday Supper

Mayor C. Kim Bracey and The Black Minister’s Association of York honored Martin Luther King Jr. at the 2013 MLK America’s Sunday Supper this past weekend.

It was a dynamic community event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by calling on the community at large, to come together, enjoy a meal, and discuss the Current State of Our Youth after watching a riveting documentary

“The Interrupters” designed to inspire discussion.

“The Interrupters” tells the moving and surprising stories of three Violence Interrupters who aim to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once employed.

Mayor Bracey hopes it will inspire the community to take action in the area.
