A man is arrested at a fire in Lower Allen Township Tuesday morning. Lower Allen Township police say when they got to the scene, a tenant of the Letchworth Avenue home was standing in the driveway. Police tried to get the man to step back from the house for his safety but he wouldn’t cooperate. Police say the man was drunk and fought back as they tried to put him in the back of a car. The man kicked while in the back of the car causing minor damage.
Police have not released the name of the man but say they have a history of responding to the house that he rents for drugs and other issues. Police are investigating to see if the fire may have been set intentionally but they do not believe that to be the case at this point.
