Losing a child is unimaginable and now a father whose daughter was killed by a distracted driver is begging people to keep their eyes on the road.
Philadelphia native Joel Feldman shared his story at the capitol in Harrisburg on Tuesday.
Feldman’s daughter, Casey was killed in 2009 since then he has talked to thousands of teenagers about distracted driving and the dangers it can have. Feldman’s message is simple: put down the cellphone, food, make-up or anything else and concentrate on the road.
“Each and every one of us is just a few seconds, just a few seconds from being someone like me,” says Joel Feldman, “who has lost someone they love or someone who has killed someone else during distracted driving.”
Feldman has also set up a foundation in his daughter’s name to continue to help educate the public about distracted driving.
