COOL START TO THE WEEK

An area of high pressure is slipping to the northeast of the Susquehanna Valley, putting it in a position that gives us a cool and cloudy start to the new workweek.  An onshore easterly flow brings moisture into the area, creating the clouds that keep temperatures on the cool side.  There is going to be some afternoon sunshine.  Highs this afternoon are only expected to reach the middle to upper 50s.  Tuesday remains cool, with more clouds than sunshine.  Some moisture offshore could bring some morning drizzle, otherwise it’s a mainly dry day.  Temperatures reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.

MIDWEEK RAINFALL

A cold front approaches from the west on Wednesday, bringing scattered showers to the region.  Temperatures warm ahead of the front and reach the lower to middle 60s throughout the area.  In the wake of the front, it’s back to slightly below average temperatures Thursday and Friday.  Clouds linger on Thursday, but Friday brings more sunshine.  Highs sit in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

WEEKEND SHOWERS POSSIBLE

We’ve been lucky for most of the month with dry, sunny weekends, but it looks like some moisture tries to work in for part of this one.  Saturday clouds increase, with temperatures in the middle to upper 60s.  By Sunday, the chance for a few showers enters the picture, with highs in the middle 60s.

Have a great week!
