The era of the Toyota Arena at the York Fairgrounds has ended. Fair officials say the arena and the fairgrounds will be re-branded, “The Utz Arena”, beginning next month. The five year deal is welcomed by supporters who say the name change brings a more local flavor to the much used center currently known as the Toyota Arena.
“We’re very excited to develop this partnership of the Utz brand with The York Fair, one of the most utilized meeting and conference facilities in Pennsylvania”, said Utz Vice President of Corporate Brands, Chuck Tullis. Utz and The York Fair are both institutions with long standing roots in the Central Pennsylvania market and we are looking forward to a strong partnership together”.
“With such a strong partner in Utz, with tremendous retail presence not only in Central Pennsylvania, but in all the Mid-Atlantic States, both fair and Utz customers will see great value in how Utz ties to the York Fair,” said Fair President Gene Schenck. “There will be Utz Salty Snack Discount Days where fair patrons can bring proof of purchases and get discounts into the fair. In addition, Utz will provide free samples on certain days and of course, all our food vendors on a year round basis will feature Utz products. We look forward to working with Utz to develop further ways to partner together to add excitement to The York Fair for years to come”.
