Organ donors remembered at ceremony

Families of organ donors were remembered Sunday at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
More than 70 people representing donor families from across Central PA attended the Organ Donor Remembrance Ceremony.
Each family recieved a live rose to symbolize their loved one’s gift.
Howard Nathan, President & CEO of the Gift of Life Donor Program says, “To those families that have lost a loved one, that memory of that individual never goes away and what we’re trying to say is that even for the recipients who get that gift, even the people who are involved in the donation and transplant process, we remember those people too.”
The annual event is coordinated by medical center staff and the Gift of Life Donor Program.
