In Lower Paxton township today, more than 200 hundred boy and girls from across our area got into the outdoors today. The kids are taking part in the capital area Sportsman for Youth Field Day. It is the 21st year for this even where young kids could learn about water activities like fishing and canoeing and also land sports like shooting and an obstacle course. It also is a was to get kids to be more active and get outdoors.
The field day was open to children ages 8-16 and everything was free of charge. Along with all the activities they learned about they were also taught the importance of safety.
