hit and run

Police in Carlisle are looking for the driver they say was involved in a hit and run accident with a bicyclist early Thursday morning. Ted Nelson, 54, was riding his bike on Hanover Street around 6:44am when a car entering the parking lot of the Super 7 convenience store pulled in front of Nelson, who hit the car. The driver went through the parking lot and then pulled up to the cyclist and asked if he was okay before speeding away down East Penn Street. Nelson was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The driver is described as a black male in his 40’s. The vehicle he was driving is described as a green Saturn sedan with a license plate that begins with ‘GFG.’ Damage to the car would be on the passenger side. Anyone with information is asked to call 717-243-5252.
