I’m not sure Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly is any closer to deciding his starting quarterback after Thursday’s game with Carolina.   Nick Foles and Michael Vick both moved the team quickly up and down the field on the Panthers in a 14-9 preseason victory.

Foles was the starter since Vick opened the first preseason game with New England.   He completed six of eight passes for 53 yards and ran in a touchdown in the first quarter.   He did throw an ill-advised interception into the Panthers end zone when the team was threatening.

As for Vick, he was nearly flawless with only one incomplete pass in ten attempts.   He bought himself some extra time when he was under pressure and led the team on a scoring drive in the second quarter.    Bishop McDevitt grad LeSean McCoy scores on a short touchdown run to cap the drive.  McCoy had eight rushes for 47 yards and the TD.

Kelly will continue to evaluate both quarterbacks in practice and in the next preseason game Saturday, August 24th at Jacksonville.
