Fine arts craftsmen from across the country gathered in Mount Gretna this weekend for the outdoor art show.
The 39th annual mount Gretna Art Show featured 260 exhibitors selected from nearly 600 applicants. The event was held on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Chautauqua and has consistently ranked amongst the top art shows in the country. The show displays everything from hand crafted jewelry, pottery, paintings, to one of a kind wind chimes. A local artist who creates wind bells spoke to Fox43 about what goes into crafting his creations.
“It is a long process, it is a lot of trial and error. My passion is casting bell, when I first learned to cast bell, my curiosity was how to make them ring naturally”
There were also things for the youngsters to enjoy including face painting and a musical performance in the Gretna playhouse
