Derry Township Turkey Hill robbed

Derry Township Police Department are looking for the man who robbed the Turkey Hill market located at 17 Briarcrest Drive. The suspect, described as a black male in his 50’s, bald, of a thin build, wearing a green trench coat and light colored shirt, large framed sunglasses and a white towel wrapped around his shoulders and head, entered the store just before midnight. He ordered the clerk to relinquish the contents of the cash register. Police say the suspect positioned his hand inside the coat as if to imply that he possessed a handgun, but no weapon was visible.

Police say they do not know how much he got away with at this time.

Witnesses report seeing the suspect exit the store and flee in a dark colored sedan towards Centerview Drive and then east on Briarcrest Drive.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Derry Township Police at 717 534 2202. A cash reward of up to $2,000.00 may be offered through Dauphin County Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest.
