Just weeks before Christmas an early morning fire destroys a church in Carroll County, Maryland— near the Pennsylvania state line.
Flames broke out around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lazarus United Church of Christ along the 5100 block of South Church Street in Lineboro.
The Baltimore Sun reports the church is a total loss.
So far, no word on what caused the fire.
No one was hurt.
