Police say a man answering a Craiglist ad for ‘companionship’ was tazed and robbed by the man who placed the ad. It happened around 1am in the 3000 block of Walnut Street in Susquehanna Township. The victim tells police he responded to an ad on Craigslist and soon after a male arrived at his residence. After allowing the male inside his residence, the victim says he got into an argument with the man. The suspect beat the victim with his fists, and then used a taser on the victim. During the assault, police say the suspect took the victim’s cellphone, and then ran away. The victim suffered minor injuries, and did not seek treatment.
Susquehanna Police Detectives arranged a meeting with the suspect by responding to the same add on Craigslist. They arrested Samuel Morales when he arrived at a motel on North Front Street in Susquehanna Township. Morales, 19, of the 3800 block of Rutherford Street in Harrisburg, admitted to the robbery and the victim’s cell phone was recovered. Morales has been charged with one count of each: Robbery, Simple Assault, and Prostitution. He is currently at the Central Booking Center for processing and arraignment.
