QUICK SHOWERS: Today, we start the day cloudy with showers racing through along a cold front. As the rain slides in, temperatures will briefly be below freezing, which will result in a glaze of ice on untreated surfaces. Showers come in around daybreak and will shift east by noon, with clouds breaking up later in the day. Highs today hit the low 40s to the north and east, and upper 40s to the south. Tonight, we chill down to the middle 20s with clear skies and some fog.
WARMER: We’re watching our next storm system which arrives on Friday. Until then, warmer air nudges into the Northeast. We’ll see middle 40s for highs Thursday with increasing clouds. A few showers may develop along the warm front as it passes, but it looks mainly dry. Then, Rain arrives into Friday morning. Temperatures nudge upward into the low 50s early Friday. Showers continue through the afternoon before tapering by evening.
WEEKEND: Colder air slowly settles in behind the passage of Friday’s front. Saturday, we’re in near 50° though with a good amount of sunshine. Sunday we only touch the low 40s with added clouds and a few sprinkles or flurries.
NEXT WEEK: We continue to cool off with highs back to the middle 30s for Monday and low 30s for Tuesday. We could see some light snow for Tuesday as well.
