Gov. Tom Corbett is temporarily transferring power over to Lieutenant Gov. Jim Crawley. Crawley will take over for the Governor while he undergoes hernia surgery at a Pittsburgh hospital Thursday morning. Corbett is expected to be under general anesthesia for about an hour. His office will announce when he is awake, alert and deemed by his doctor able to resume his duties. The Governor’s schedule is clear until Monday, when he will return to work.
