A man with outstanding warrants was arrested Friday night in Steelton after he tailgated a police officer, investigators said.

Police were on routine patrol in the 1000 block of South Front Street when Phillip A. Woods began tailgating the marked cruiser, according to police reports.

The officer pulled Woods over and discovered he had several active warrants out for his arrest.

Woods was also driving on a suspended license, police said. He was arrested and taken to the Dauphin County Booking Center.

Woods will be issued a traffic citation for following too closely.
