A Lancaster County police incident ends peacefully.  It began at about 1:55 pm at a home in the first block of Catalpa Circle in Denver Borough. East Cocalico Township Police respond to a call of a person threatening to harm himself.

A 25 year old man was reportedly distraught over a domestic issue and that there was a warrant for his arrest.  The unidentified man has reportedly locked himself in his bedroom and refused to come out.

Township police requested assistance from the Lancaster County SERT unit. Residents in the neighbor were advised to remain in their homes. Police also alerted the Cocalico School District with regard to school buses that were scheduled to drop off students.

Police negotiators finally convinced the man via telephone to come out of the house. He did so and was taken into custody without further incident at 3:00 pm.
