Police say a homeowner in Glen Rock caught a burglar in the act on Wednesday trying to break their home–but the suspect got away on foot.
Officers were dispatched to a home along Hillside Terrace around 1:30 p.m. for a report of an attempted burglary. Investigators say that a man rang the doorbell and when no one answered–he tried to pry open a basement window by breaking the lock. The homeowner confronted the man and he fled the scene on foot before police arrived.
The man is described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years old, bald, 5’10” and 160 pounds. He was last wearing a navy blue shirt and light colored cargo shorts.
