Two men face charges in a series of retail thefts at Wal-Mart stores are arrested in York County.  Darrel Sharpeson, 30, of Allentown and Christopher Dawson, 23, no fixed address were spotted by Asset Protection employees Wednesday afternoon at the Wal-Mart in the 1800 block of Baltimore Pike in West Manheim Township.

The two men reportedly allegedly distracted store clerks and stole expensive electronic merchandise from displays at several Wal-Mart stores in the region. Township police took the men into custody without incident.

A search of their rental vehicle from New York resulted in the recovery of over $7,272.00 worth of merchandise believed to have been stolen, including Nintendo 3 DS game systems, iPod Touches, iPad Minis, iPad Air, and iPhone 5s, all of which were brand new and still in boxes.

Charges against both men include Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Conspiracy. Dawson has an additional charged of False Identification to Police.  Sharpeson also has a felony warrant out of Virginia. Following arraignment both men were sent to York County Prison in lieu of bail.
